A butterfly on a grey day.
by A warbler a day
It was rather dull and grey yesterday in the Anton valley. When I finally roused myself from my post-lunch stupor I went for a leisurely stroll along the river south from Goodworth Clatford. i had no expectations for the walk and so when a large butterfly glided overhead as walked along a field edge I thought it was just a Peacock. So I was very pleasantly surprised when I looked at it resting in nearby tree through my binoculars and realised it was a White Admiral. That certainly brightened my day!
