Lunchtime at Lakeside Country Park

by A warbler a day

I stopped today to eat my lunch at Lakeside Country Park in Eastleigh. After consuming my sarnies in the car I went for a short but cold stroll round 1 of the lakes. In the alder trees fringing the lake there were large flocks of Goldfinches mixed with a few Siskins and my first Lesser Redpolls of the year. I also saw my first Common Gull of the year mingling with the Black-headed Gulls on the lake. Not bad for a working day!
